Brian Bullock

writes science fiction and he talks politics. He is the author of the Sentinel Universe and the founder of Starborne Studios, and he is the creator and host of Everyone Knows, a weekly news and commentary podcast.

Two different jobs, done on purpose. Both come from the same place — an interest in the choices people make, the trouble those choices cause, and where it all ends up.

THE FICTION

Brian writes character-driven science fiction built on hard science, space opera, artificial intelligence and old cosmic mysteries. The questions underneath the stories stay the same: what is out there, what comes with that kind of power, and what it means to be human when the answers start arriving.

His debut novel, The Sentinel of Crater Daedalus, opens the Sentinel Universe — a setting thousands of years deep, where forgotten civilizations, advanced technology and humanity’s future run into each other. Every world, culture and piece of history in it was built to hold together.

Through Starborne Studios he also produces short stories, audiobooks, original artwork and narrated audio, so the same story can be read or listened to.

EVERYONE KNOWS

Everyone Knows covers politics, government policy, economics, national security, technology and science — the stories shaping the country and the world.

Brian writes from a center-right position, grounded in limited government, individual responsibility, free markets and keeping constitutional freedoms intact. He also thinks a conversation worth having takes more than repeating party talking points. Each episode works through the facts, the history behind them, and the arguments on more than one side. Ideas get judged on whether they hold up, not on whose label is attached to them.

OUTSIDE THE WORK

Brian is a transplant to Tennessee and now calls the Volunteer State home. When he is not writing he is following space exploration, astronomy, artificial intelligence and whatever is coming next — which is usually where the next story starts.
